Mensaje Del Arsobispo Gomez/ Message From Archbishop Gomez
As civil unrest and protests continue tonight in Los Angeles and cities across the nation, Archbishop José H. Gomez calls for prayers and shares a message for peace and the respect for all life and human dignity in the following message via social, www.facebook.com/archbishopgomez:
Friends, pray for our city and our nation tonight. No one in America should suffer cruelty, violence, or unequal treatment because of their race or the color of their skin. Racism is a blasphemy against God who creates all men and women with equal dignity. But let our protests be peaceful. Nothing is gained by violence and so much is lost. Let’s keep working together to fulfill our nation’s sacred promise of life, liberty, and equality for all. #georgefloyd
#georgefloyd
Let us continue to offer our prayers tonight and join our prayers in spiritual communion tomorrow on Pentecost Sunday to pray for all impacted by these events. Archbishop Gomez will celebrate Pentecost Sunday Mass at the Cathedral of Our Lady of the Angels at 10 a.m. in English. To see the Mass online visit www.facebook.org/lacatholics or on watch the Mass on KCOP TV Channel 13.
May the Lord grant us peace.
